The Vienna Philharmonic play Schubert and Richard Strauss
Join us in the IDAGIO Global Concert Hall for a very special musical event: for only their second Subscription Concert after lockdown, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is joined by conductor Franz Welser-Möst to perform Schubert and Richard Strauss, streamed live from the legendary Musikverein in the heart of the Austrian capital.
Franz Welser-Möst joins the Vienna Philharmonic in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein for a programme rooted in the musical traditions of both the Austrian capital and the orchestra. Schubert's grandly conceived and irresistibly melodic early Third Symphony is coupled with the brilliant Four Symphonic Interludes from Richard Strauss's autobiographical opera Intermezzo – music that takes us from waltzing and tobogganing through to moving fireside reflections.
