An exceptional concert with the countertenor Philippe Jaroussky, filmed in the magnificent setting of Royaumont Abbey with violinist and conductor Julien Chauvin and his musicians from the Concert de la Loge, and featuring Baroque gems by Vivaldi, Pergolesi and more.
This treasurable event sees Philippe Jaroussky perform one of his signature works, Vivaldi's Nisi Dominus, as well late sacred masterpiece by Pergolesi, the Salve Regina, which the French countertenor has never before recorded or performed on stage. The moving sorrow of this masterpiece finds sublimation through Jaroussky's unique timbre, while the programme is completed by music by an aria by Alessandro Scarlatti and concertos by Vivaldi and Francesco Durante.
