London Symphony Orchestra: Bacewicz, Haydn & Beethoven
About this event
For their second concert in the Global Concert Hall, the London Symphony Orchestra and joined by Estonian Grammy Award-winning conductor Paavo Järvi, who is stepping in for Gianandrea Noseda, LSO Principal Guest Conductor, who has had to withdraw from this concert due to travel restrictions. The concert will open with Concerto for String Orchestra, a masterpiece of neoclassicism written by Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz in 1948. Haydn’s delightful Sinfonia concertante in B flat major follows, with Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony bringing the concert to a close.
