Notte amica – from rage to sleep, with Handel and Bach
About this event
South African countertenor Christopher Ainslie has been dubbed the "rock star of baroque opera" by the New York Times. He takes you on a classical ride with music by Handel and Bach. Alongside Tolomeo, Semele and Orlando, the programme also features two Bach cantatas. He is accompanied by the Australian harpsichordist Anthony Romaniuk, who is known not only for his proficiency in early music but also as a pianist with a passion for crossover and improvisation. Together they create a very special listening experience.
