Salzburg Festival 2020: Igor Levit — Beethoven, The Last Three Piano Sonatas
About this event
For the Salzburg Festival, whose 100th birthday fell in the Corona year 2020, Igor Levit explored Beethoven's piano works in several concerts. He considers Beethoven to be a "contemporary composer" who tackles problems in his music that affect us all. Levit's exciting interpretations - in the words of one critic - probably aim not to raise Beethoven to Olympus, but to give him back his sting. Experience Igor Levit here with Beethoven's last three piano sonatas in a gripping piano recital.
