The New World Symphony presents Kids in the Concert Hall
About this event
The New World Symphony presents “Kids in the Concert Hall” – an educational and engaging concert for children and young adults ages 10-18. Conductor Christian Reif leads the NWS Fellows in exploring musical concepts through selections from classical music’s beloved masterpieces, including symphonies by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gustav Mahler, Maurice Ravel’s evocative Mother Goose Suite and George Gershwin’s jazzy and unbridled Rhapsody in Blue with the conductor himself as piano soloist. Cellist Sterling Elliott – 15-years-old at the time of recording – makes an unforgettable appearance as he performs David Popper’s lively Hungarian Rhapsody. This performance was recorded in October 2014 at the New World Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
Your ticket purchase will directly support the participating artists through IDAGIO’s Fair Artist Payout Model: IDAGIO pays 80% of the net revenue directly to the performers.
